- [This petition is damaged and partly illegible.]Henry de Maule states that although his wood of Weston was deforested by the perambulation ordered by the King, the ministers of the Forest have taken a fifth part of it back into the forest. He requests a remedy.
- Nature of endorsement
- Coram rege.The King does not understand that the wood was deforested by the perambulation and . . . this reason the King . . . the bounds of the forest . . . and he wishes the perambulation to hold. And if it is found that his complaint is not true, he is to be punished for the false complaint.And in a similar case the same response was given to all such people.
