Application of Mr E T Grannum, Auditor General. Submits the application for the appointment of Colonial Secretary of Barbados, which he believes to have become vacant by the appointment of Mr F J Newton to a post in Rhodesia under the South African Company. Regrets he cannot recommend him on account of local family ties. Hopes that neither Mr Mark Kerr nor Mr Edward Drayton will be considered for the vacancy, because they are both Barbadians.
