Accommodation of the Boer Leaders. The Secretary of State for War has advised, in a telegram dated 6 December, that the accommodation of the persons named in the previous cipher telegram should go ahead. The General Officer Commanding mentions a case of yellow fever in Barbados, that it was a Danish seaman from St Lucia who landed the day before the quarantine was announced, and that he was promptly sent to the Quarantine Station. He is now recovering and there have been no further cases. If the yellow fever epidemic at St Lucia prevents the withdrawal of the Royal Engineers and stores, suggests the work is done entirely by local contract under the superintendence of the Royal Engineer Officer Commanding in Barbados.
