Cane Fire Prevention. Reports system of Mounted Police Patrols and sends copy of instructions issued by the Inspector of Police in regards to the way in which these Patrols are to operate. Confirms that no arrests have been made in connection with the nine incendiary cane fires in November, although the Government has offered eight out of nine rewards (as shown in the enclosed list). Assures that every effort will be made to bring offenders to justice.
