Floggings. Encloses the Return of floggings inflicted by the Police magistrates of Barbados on male juveniles (under 16) during the half year ending 30 June 1901. Points out that the more frequent use of reprimands for first offences has diminished numbers slightly. Submits scheme of segregation of juvenile prisoners in Central Prison in order to be able to impose short-term imprisonment without association with adult convicts. Confirms that a scheme is planned for starting a Reformatory for Female Juveniles on the same lines as the one for male juveniles.
