Halifax to Granby, or in his absence, the commander in chief of the British forces: as the ratifications of the peace preliminaries have now been exchanged, the king wishes the British troops to return home, and Sir Joseph Yorke [ambassador at The Hague] will ask permission for them to march to Willemstad. General Sandford and Colonel Roy are to go to The Hague to concert with the Dutch ministers. The troops are to march in four separate divisions according to the enclosed paper [SP 87/48/43]. The artillery are to go to 'Bremen Ley' for embarkation. Dated at St James's. ff. 70, 71
