Description

Prince Ferdinand of Hesse to Grenville: movements of the opposing armies from 8 September. The enemy are trying to re-enter Hesse by way of Ziegenhain. Enemy attempts to force a passage of the Ohme. He encloses a schedule [ SP 87/47/11] of the army's considerable losses at Amoeneburg. He has had a letter from the landgrave of Hesse insisting that Ferdinand does not expose Cassel to a siege. Dated at Kirchain. PS. that the elector of Cologne has been unanimously elected bishop of Münster. ff. 24-26
