Description

1 individual petition (the prisoner's wife, Agnus Kenny Stewart) to accompany her husband James Kenny Stewart convicted at Edinburgh in February 1827 and now aboard His Majesty's Ship Justicia at Woolwich, London. Grounds for clemency: the prisoner's wife's youth and her dependence on him. Initial sentence: 14 years transportation. Annotated: 'Refused'. AM 27. [Scot]
