'Malta Proposed Church': four sheets of drawings: (1) 'Gallery Plan'; (2) 'Interior - Perspective View looking towards R.C. [Roman Catholic] Chancel'; (3) 'South Elevation - Perspective View'; (4) ground plan and section. Reference notes on accommodation to item (4). Scale: 1 inch to 8 feet (plans only). Compass indicator to item (4). Items (1) and (4) traced by A F M, 29 August 1895. Sheet sizes between 37.5 cm x 50 cm and 48.5 cm x 88 cm.
Whilst the location depicted is not specified, it is most likely to be the British military chapel at Mtarfa, because: (i) other plans and drawings of Mtarfa are filed in the same portfolio and the War Office map docket book (which was the original means of reference to the War Office maps) describes them together; and (ii) the design is similar to drawings of Pembroke Camp church, the design of which was based on that of the chapel at Mtarfa.
