(8) Straits Settlements. 'No.1 Singapore Plan of Harbour and Roadstead ...'. Scale: 6 inches to 1 mile. Compass indicator. Compiled from surveys made on the spot by Captain Jekyll, Royal Engineers, and from local plans, 1884; zincographed and printed at the School of Military Engineering, Chatham, under the direction of Captain S H Maycock, Royal Engineers, 1885. Coloured MS additions show lands requested for use by the War Department and the site approved for quarters for Malay crews of War Department launches; MS reference note dated 1896.
(7) Scrap of paper bearing a note stating that Marine Department land and two villages should be marked on item (8).
