Sudan: Semna. 'Cataract of Semneh from the West' (endorsement): watercolour view, showing a boat with lateen [triangular] sails and its crew. Painted by Lieutenant Colonel D W Martin. Lieutenant Colonel Martin retired from the 8th Foot Regiment in 1879.
