France: Mont-Louis. 'Plan de Mont Louis': plan of a fortification near Boulogne-sur-Mer. Reference table. Scale: 1 inch to about 28 toises. Inscribed: 'Fait par Landmann Professeur de fortifica[tion ...]'. Isaac Landmann was professor of artillery and fortification at the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, from 1777 to 1816, and, proir to this, taught at the École Royale Militaire in Paris; the non-metric scale indicates a date before 1795.
