Spain: Minorca (Menorca): Mahón (Maó). 3 sheets of plans elevations and sections of fortifications: (3) plan and elevation of a battery; (4) 'Draw-out Elevation of the Works at Main Gate reentering Angle Port Mahon Citadel ...': sheet also bearing a further elevation and 7 sections; (5) Sheet bearing a plan and elevation of a casemated salient and a plan and elevation of a ten-gun point battery. Descriptive reference notes to item (3). Scale: (3) 1 inch to 40 feet [1:480]; (4) 3 inches to 40 feet [1:160]; (5) 1 inch to 26 feet [1:312]. All items signed: [Captain] J C Cowell, [Royal Engineers], 30 January 1860. A note on item (3) states that these drawings were presented by Lieutenant Colonel Elphinstone. All items stamped by the Topographical Department, War Office, 2 August 1869.
