French Empire: Waterloo (afterwards in Belgium). 'Plan of the Battle of Waterloo fought 18th June 1815': map showing the disposition and movements of forces. Detailed reference tables to 'Anglo Allied', Prussian and French forces; reference notes. Scale: 5 inches to 1 mile; scale bars also in toises and units of a quarter of an hour's march. Compass indicator. [Drawn by] I Harvey, Royal Military Academy, 18 June 1834; signed as received by H Macaulay, 14 August 1834. A note states that Harvey was the son of an officer who lost an arm during the battle; this officer was probably William H Harvey, Royal Artillery.
