Copied from plan in D. of Works Office': map and section, on one sheet, showing an attack by French and British forces on a stockade north of the ruined town of 'Nah-Siang'. Descriptive reference note. Scale: 1 inch to 60 yards. Compass indicator. Copied from an original map by Lieutenant Sandford, Royal Engineers; this copy by Lieutenant [?Maule]; signed by Lieutenant Colonel [?Morris], Commanding Royal Engineer, 26 August 1862.
