China: Jiangsu province: Zhelin (now part of Shanghai). 'Operations against the Chinese Rebels 1862. Copied from plan in D. of Works Office': map and two sections, on one sheet, showing an assault on 'Cholin' by French and British troops; also showing waterways, dykes, etc. Descriptive reference note. Scale: 1 inch to 300 yards. Compass indicator. Copied from an original map by Lieutenant Sandford, Royal Engineers; this copy by Lieutenant [?Maule]; signed by Lieutenant Colonel [?Morris], Commanding Royal Engineer, 26 August 1862.
