'A New and Exact Map of the Dominions of the King of Great Britain on ye Continent of North America ...'; 'To the Honourable Walter Dowglass Esqr. Constituted Captain General and Chief Governor of all ye Leeward Islands... This Map is most Humbly Dedicated by your most Humble Servant Herman Moll Geogr. 1715': covering the area (now in the United States of America and Canada) between James Bay in the north-west, Newfoundland in the north-east, and Port Royal, South Carolina, in the south. Various reference notes. Dedication in a decorative cartouche, with a coat of arms. View of Niagara Falls, with beavers building dams. Scale: 1 inch to about 50 miles. Compass indicator. Printed and sold by Thomas Bowles, John Bowles, and [John] King.

Insets: (i) Continuation southwards to Florida and the mouth of the Saint Louis (now Mississippi) River; scale: 1 inch to about 150 miles. (ii) 'A Map of the Improved part of Carolina with the Settlements & c.': covering the area between the Sanee River and Saint Helena Sound, showing counties and parishes; reference table to numbered settlements; scale: 1 inch to about 5 miles; compass indicator. (iii) Map of Charleston, South Carolina; scale: 1 inch to about 2 furlongs; compass indicator. (iv) Map of North and Central America [distinguishing British, French and Spanish possessions].

Due to its decoration, this map is commonly known as the 'Beaver Map'.
