South and South-East Asia. 'A Map of the East-Indies and the adjacent Countries; with the Settlements, Factories and Territories, explaining what belongs to England, Spain, France, Holland, Denmark, Portugal, & c.... To ye Directors of ye Honble. United East-India Company, This map is most Humbly Dedicated by your most Obedient Servant Herman Moll Geographer': covering the area between Kandahar (now in Afghanistan), Yamaguchi (in Japan), western New Guinea (now part of Indonesia), and the Maldives. Reference table to abbreviations; reference notes on various islands, island groups and regions. Decorative border surrounding the title; coat of arms. Compass indicator. [Published and] sold by Moll and by John King. Insets: (i) views of Goa and Surat (in Gujarat, both in India); (ii) map of Madras (now Chennai, India) with Fort Saint George; (iii) maps of Batavia (now Jakarta) and Bantam (now Banten; both in Java, now part of Indonesia).
