'A New & Correct Map of the Whole World shewing the situation of its Principal Parts. Viz the Oceans, Kingdoms, Rivers, Capes, Ports, Mountains, Woods, Trade Winds, Monsoons, Variation of ye Compass, Climats [sic] & c. with the Most Remarkable Tracks of the Bold Attempts which have been made to find out the North East and North West Passages ...By Herman Moll, Geographer ...'. Reference notes on sources, latitudes, scales and winds. Title in a cartouche, surrounded a rocky landscape, with a lion and figures probably representing Asia, Africa, America and Europe. Scale: 0.75 inches to about 100 leagues at 25° latitude, and 1 inch to about 100 leagues at 50° latitude; (scale not constant because of the projection). Compass indicators. Mercator's projection. Drawn by L Cheron; engraved by E Kirkhall; printed for John Bowles and Thomas Bowles; [published and] sold by Moll and by John King.
