Belgium: West Flanders (West-Vlaanderen). Two copies of a map, each comprising two joined sheets of a trench map: 12 NW and [12 SW]; both copies of the combined map covering the area between Ostend (Oostende), Leke and Nieuwpoort. The map shows trenches, batteries, guns, searchlights, railways, munition dumps, cemeteries, roads, woodland, etc; item (9) also shows areas of inundation. Item (10) is more boldly coloured than item (9). Reference tables; metric conversion tables. Produced by Ordnance Survey: sheet 12 NW is edition 1A, dated June 1917; sheet 12 SW dated July 1917. MS additions, in coloured pencil, to item (10) only, [?showing soil types and areas above sea-level]. Both items endorsed with printed indexes to adjoining sheets and French-English glossaries to topographical and constructed features.
