Kent: Shorncliffe. Two copies of a map of land intended for a Royal Artillery establishment; also showing the names of the former landowners. Reference tables. Scale: 1 inch to 50 feet. Surveyed by Edward Bird. Item (3) [the original] signed by Lieutenant Colonel W H Ford, 9 September 1812; item (2) copied from item (3). Pencilled additions to item (3) comprising notes on land areas; these notes dated 25 June 1850 and 18 April 1859. Dimensions: (2) 64.5 cm x 98 cm; (3) 70 cm x 96.5 cm.
