'Strait of Malacca ...': chart on two sheets: (3) '... Sheet 2 From the North Sands to Singapore'; (4) '... Sheet 1 From Diamond Pt. [now Cape Jambuair] to the North Sands'; both showing coastal place names in Sumatra (Sumatera) and the Malay peninsula, islands, rivers, the nature of the terrain and soundings; (the territory covered is now in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore). Reference tables; notes on tides; glossary of Malay place-name elements. Compass roses to both sheets. Surveyed by Lieutenant C Y Ward, 1852-1858; additional surveys by Lieutenants W Rose and R Moresby; north-eastern coast of Sumatra surveyed by Lieutenant Jackson, 1860; engraved by J and C Walker; published by the [Hydrographical Office], Admiralty, 1 August 1860; (3) corrected to November 1865; (4) corrected to January 1867. Inset to item (3): 'Entrance of the Siak River'; scale: 1 inch to 1,448 yards [1:52,128].
