'Labuan Island': chart (of territory now in Sabah, Malaysia) showing rivers and soundings; also covering part of the coast of northern Borneo. Scale: 1 inch to 1 nautical mile [1 inch to 6080 feet]. Compass indicator. Surveyed by Captain Sir Edward Belcher and Lieutenant D M Gordon, Royal Navy, 1847; engraved by J and C Walker; published by the Hydrographical Office, Admiralty, 4 September 1848; corrections to October 1866. Inset: chart of Raffles anchorage; scale: 1 inch to 1 cable [1 inch to 600 feet or 1:7,200]; by J W Reed, Master, Royal Navy.
