2 copies of each of 4 sheets of the Ordnance Survey 1:2,500 map of Gibraltar: (17, 21) sheet I, (15, 22) sheet II, (16, 19) sheet III, (18, 20) sheet IV. Surveyed in 1866; revised 1905-1906; this edition further revised by the War Department and printed at the Ordnance Survey Office, Southampton, 1908-1909; sheets I, III and IV corrected to 1914. Each sheet marked: 'For War Department purposes only' and 'Strictly Confidential'. MS additions, coloured, to all items, showing pipes and cables for electrical installations; those on (15-18) also showing defence works. Items (19-22) originally accompanied Station Letter C R Gibraltar number 5430 (C E) to the Secretary, War Office, 7 August 1919; this letter was destroyed under section 6 of the Public Records Act 1958.
