Scale: (15) 1 inch to 126 yards [1:4,536]; (16) 1 inch to 200 yards [1:7,200]. Compass indicator. to item (15). Item (15) surveyed by B W Barlow, Civil Engineers; item (16) drawn by R Pilkington. Dimensions: (15) 76 cm x 200 cm; (16) 37 cm x 51 cm. Originally accompanying: (15) H Boulton's letter dated 27 October 1851; [Lieutenant Colonel] [?]Whinyates's letter number 367, dated 14 November 1851.
A note on each sheet states that a copy of it was made for the Canadian Northern Railway Company, 7 November 1879; these copies (which were assigned the reference number Canada 8/243) have not been identified among the holdings of The National Archives..
