Upper Canada (now Ontario, Canada). 3 plans: (10) 'Copy of a sketch showing in yellow the proposed defences of Kingston and in red the clergy reserve'; (11) 'Plan of a piece of ground called Block C (clergy reserve) and situated on the south side of the town of Kingston ...'. (12) 'Sketch showing the position of the Clergy Reserve': also showing fortifications. Scale: (10) [not shown]; (11) 1 inch to 2 chains [1 inch to 132 feet or 1:1,584]; (12) 1 inch to 100 yards [1:3,600]. Compass indicator to item (12). Item (11) ceritified as a true copy by G Whitmore. Dimensions: (10) 43 cm x 51 cm; (11) 28 cm x 42 cm; (12) 44 cm x 28 cm. Originally accompanying letters from Lieutenant Colonel Oldfield, (10-11) dated 5 December 1840, (12) dated 29 July 1842.
