Canada West (now Ontario, Canada). Three military reconnaissance sketch maps, showing villages and buildings, covering: (27) the roads from Gananoque to the Rideau Canal and from Collins Bay; (28) the roads from Point Iroquois to Jones Creek and from Beckett's Landing to the first rapids on the Rideau Canal; (29) the roads from Gananoque to Jones Creek. Scale: 1 inch to 1 mile. Compass indicators to items (27-28). [By]: (27) Captain J E Alexander, 14th Regiment; (28) Lieutenant E W G Henderson, Royal Engineers, and Lieutenant R W Piper, 46th Regiment; (29) Lieutenant [?]Frederick W King, Royal Engineers. All sheets signed by Colonel W C E Holloway, Commanding Royal Engineer. Dimensions: (27-28) 91 cm x 112 cm; (29) 59 cm x 73 cm. Originally accompanied a letter to the Inspector General of Fortifications, 25 February 1846.
