Canada West (now Ontario, Canada): Kingston. (21-25) 5 sheets of plans and sections of a tower with proposed caponiers [i.e. covered defensive passages]; (26) plan and section of movable iron fraises [i.e. horizontal defensive palisades] for the tower. Scale: (21-25) 1 inch to 8 feet [1:96]; (26) 3 inches to 2 feet [1:8]. [By]: (21, 23-25) Lieutenant J Woods, 81st Regiment; (22) J Constable; (26) R Pilkington. All items signed by Colonel W C E Holloway, Commanding Royal Engineer. Originally accompanied a letter to the Inspector General of Fortifications, 24 February 1846.
