Canada East (now Quebec, Canada): Quebec City. 5 sheets of plans, elevations and sections of a proposed inclined plane between the citadel and the Saint Lawrence River. Scale: (12) 1 inch to 50 feet [1:600]; (13-14) 1 inch to 20 feet [1:240]; (15) 1 inch to about 435 yards [1:15,660]; (16) 1 inch to 8 feet [1:96]. Items (12-14) drawn by R Pilkington, 26 March 1846; item (15) by Captain I A Russell, 93rd Highlanders, 27 March 1846; (16) copied by Lieutenant J M Desborough, Royal Engineers. All sheets signed by Colonel W C E Holloway, Commanding Royal Engineer. Originally accompanied letters to the Inspector General of Fortifications: (12-15) 24 March 1846; (16) 8 June 1846.
