Drawn by E G Ravenstein; engraved by T Kips; printed at the Topographical Department, War Office; revised July 1870. Overprinted to show railways, forts, batteries, and first, second and third rate fortresses; reference table. Originally illustrated a War Office print: 'Strength of Continental Armies'.
