Canada: Ontario and Manitoba. 'Plan shewing the proposed route from Lake Superior to Red River Settlement compiled from Messrs. Dawson & Napier's Maps': map of the area between the southern end of Lake Manitoba in the north-west, Lake Nipigon in the north-east, and Thunder Bay in the south-east; also shows the exisiting Pigeon River and Kaministikwia routes. Reference table. Scale: 1 inch to about 8 miles. Compass star. Lithographed under the superintendence of Captain C W Wilson, Royal Engineers, at the Topographical Depot, War Office. Inset: 'Profile of Canoe Route as handed in by Professor [H Y] Hind': showing geological information. Scale: 1 inch to 10 miles [1:633,600] (horizontal); 1 inch to 600 feet [1:7,200].
