Seven sheets of the Ordnance Survey 1:2,500 County Series joined: Kent XIII.5-6, [9-10] and parts of [7, 11 and 13]; the combined map covering the western part of the Isle of Sheppey. Compass indicators. [Date of printing unknown]. MS additions, coloured: 'Sheerness Record Plan to Shew Lands Acquired under Defence Act, 1860. For Queenborough & Cheyney Rock Line of Defences': showing acreages and the previous landowners' names. Signed: Lieutenant-Colonel A D Kerr, Commanding Royal Engineer, 26 August 1869. Further MS corrections and notes, mainly in pencil. For a reference table to the additions, see items (1-15).
