Nature of request
Michael de la Pole states that the King had granted him an annual rent to be received from the customs of Kingston upon Hull, in recompense for the manors of Burstwick, Gringley on the Hill, and Wheatley, and for an annual rent, which Michael's father granted and released to the King. Michael's father received this rent during his lifetime, but Michael received it only in part, and now it has long been completely withdrawn, to his great harm. He asks the King and other lords of parliament that the Treasurer might be ordered to have the customs officers of Kingston upon Hull pay Michael and his heirs according to his charter.

CCR 1364-8 p.246 is dated 3 October 1366, and seems to have been issued shortly after the death of Michael's father: but the petition is later than this, as it refers to payments made after that time.CCR 1377-81 p.25 is dated 17 October 1377.
