The Barons of Folkestone state that they are a member of the port of Dover and that, by a charter of Henry I, which they quote, they have the same franchises as those of Dover. Coram rege.A writ is to be sent to the Constable of Dover and the Keeper of the Cinque Ports, that they are to inquire if Folkestone is a member of Dover, and to what harm it is etc. if the King grants their demand by his charter, and into other necessary things etc., and when the inquisition has been returned the King is to be advised.
