- The Master and brothers of the hospital of St Leonard, York, state that the Mayor and community of York have entered their franchise, contrary to their liberties, and usurped their tenants to themselves by oath, and tax them at their will and more severely than others in the city, so that they have left the franchise and their tenements are lying empty, to the great harm of the Master and brothers. They request a remedy.

- They are to have a writ of the great seal to the Mayor and Bailiffs of York to permit them to have their liberties according to the tenor of their charters; and if this is not done, they are to have a writ to attach the aforesaid Mayor and Bailiffs etc.
