Nature of request
Roger del Isle states that William de Hanred held the manor of Grafton of him in chief, and leased it to Robert le Baud for term of life. It should have reverted to him as an escheat because William was hanged for felony, but the Escheator seized it into the King's hand after Robert's death, and the King has since done his will with it. He asks that he might be heard, and that justice might be done to him.
Nature of endorsement
He is to have a writ of the King's Chancery to Roger Brebanzon, and he is to hear his arguments, and Thomas Brun, tenant and the King's serjeants are to be called.
