Nature of request
George de Percy states that the King gave him by commission of Chancery the marriage of Elizabeth, daughter and heir of John de Hertrigg, and that he had put her under guard at Wambrook, Dorset, in the King's third year, where she remained until the feast of St Peter in Cathedra in the King's fifth year, when more than a hundred of Hugh le Despenser's men, acting under his orders, abducted her with force and arms, against the King's peace. He requests a remedy.
