Nature of request
[This petition is badly faded, and much of it is illegible.]The burgesses of Caernarfon make three requests:1) They state that their town has been battered by the sea and burnt down by the Welsh, so that it is on the point of destruction. They request an ordinance for the salvation of their town.2) They request repair of a dam, which contributes to their farm.3) They state that their lands are to small and barren to sustain them, without aid from Ireland, Cheshire and Anglesey, but that they are now prevented from getting supplies from there. They ask that they might be served with victuals from these places.
