Nature of request
John de Oddingseles, son and heir of Hugh de Oddingseles, asks that £50 which his father received as a loan from the wardrobe for his voyage to Gascony in the King's twenty-second year, and 50 marks demanded from John in relief for his inheritance, might be allowed against £213 14s. 5d. owed to his father by the King from the time when he was in his war in Gascony, as the letters of the Earl of Lincoln attest.
Nature of endorsement
He is to have a writ of Chancery to the Treasurer and Barons of the Exchequer that, when it has been established before them that he is [his father's] executor, and that the King owes him the aforesaid £213 14s. 5d. then they are to give him an allowance for the £50 mentioned here and also for the 50 marks mentioned here.
