Nature of request
William de Bathele states that he has sued for the King concerning the church of Bathley against the Bishop of Norwich for seven and a half years, and he has always been answered that judgment cannot be given without the advice of the earls and barons of the realm and of the King's council. He asks that the roll on which the plea is recorded might come before the earls and barons and the council, and that judgment might be brought there according to the law and usage of the realm, so that he is not further delayed.

He is to have a writ to the justices to proceed [to judgment as swiftly as they can according to the law etc.,] and if there is some difficulty why they cannot do this without more information, they are to bring the record into parliament, in accordance with the [terms] of the ordinances etc.
