Nature of request
The executors of Gilbert de Seint Leophard, Bishop of Chichester request a writ to the Treasurer and Barons of the Exchequer that they might be discharged of a sum demanded from the deceased for the fifteenth granted by the laity in the King's eighteenth year, as the bishops and clergy of the realm granted a tenth in the same year for the consecration of the Bishop of Ely, and were discharged on that account.
Nature of endorsement
The King has pardoned etc., and a similar grace is granted to the Bishop of Chester for his predecessor.
