Nature of request
William le Taillour, merchant of Dublin, states that he had loaded a ship in Bordeaux with wine and other merchandise to take to Gerard Chabout in Port du Collet, and that when he came to Gerard's country, Gerard and his people wrongly took twenty-five tuns and one pipe of wine from him, and still hold them. He asks the King to write to the Seneschal, Mayor and Bailiffs of Bordeaux to put right this wrong, according to the law and usages of the land.
