Nature of request
The Bishop of Ely states that he holds all his lands and tenements in Cambridgeshire and elsewhere in chief of the King by barony, so that his lands are not tallagable with the King's boroughs and ancient demesne, the Mayor and Bailiffs of Cambridge have assessed him for their tallage by reason of his mill in Cambridge, which belongs to his barony. He requests grace and a remedy.

At the Exchequer; and justice is to be done. And a writ of Chancery is to be issued for this.
