King's bond people of his havotry in the county of Merioneth.

Nature of request
The King's bond people of his havotry in the county of Merioneth state that when robberies are committed against them by unknown people and the tithing member for the tithing where the robberies took place presents this before the sheriff at the great hundreds twice a year, the sheriff has the sum stolen levied from the chattels of the poor people of the tithing, contrary to the ancient usages of the country. They ask that those who have been robbed in this way might have the chattels levied by the Sheriff.
Nature of endorsement
A writ is to be issued to the justice of North Wales that those who have been robbed are to have the chattels levied by the Sheriff, provided that they raised and prosecuted the hue on the day when they were robbed, or on the morrow they did not dare to raise and prosecute the hue before for fear of death.
