Nature of request
John Cosyn states that he has suffered great losses in the King's service, and that he has been in his wars and garrisons in Scotland and that his lands are completely ruined. He asks, in consideration of this, and for 40 marks that the King owes him, for some lands in Farsley and Shelf, escheated to the King because of the enmity of Geoffrey de Fressheley.
