Nature of request
Arnold de Brocas, attorney of John de Balay, states that John is owed a certain sum of money by the Count and community of Flanders, and that, after lengthy negotiations, including the award of an arrest, this money has still not been paid. He asks for an ordinance so that he might have payment of the debt and of his damages.
Nature of endorsement
A letter is to be written to the Count of Flanders and to the other counsellors and others as before, reciting the answer given by them on this matter, and further charging them by due means.
