Nature of request
Writ from Richard II to Hugh de Calvyle, Keeper of the Channel Islands, and his lieutenant, sending them a petition from Thomas Trym presented in parliament at Westminster, complaining of wrongs done by Geoffrey de Seint Martyn, jurat of Jersey and others, and instructing them to examine the petition and its endorsement and to inform themselves on the matter, so that if they can find that its claims are true, they are to summon the parties and do justice according to the terms of the endorsement.
