Nature of request
[This petition is slightly damaged.]The petitioners state that they were indicted of a trespass in the late dispute between the clergy and laity of Oxford and that they greatly impoverished and ruined by this, despite the charter of pardon granted by the King to his commons in the last parliament. They request a charter in common based on this pardon, and writs to the justices and sheriffs that they should not be harassed contrary to this pardon, as has been granted to the other commons of the land.

They are to have a charter of pardon in common for the trespasses, according to the pardon made to the community of the realm.
