- John George states that before last Christmas he was selling wheat in York, in order to buy a horse to go with the King to his war in Scotland, and that John de Mereworth bought £7 6s worth of wheat from him for the King's use and told him that he would be paid shortly - but he has never received any money from him. He asks for payment, so that he might join the King's war in Scotland.
