Geoffrey Turbok of Lynn and Walter de Gosewyk of Berwick complain that the King of France has repeatedly delayed and defaulted in the matter of doing justice to them and to other merchants for injuries, depredations and wrongs committed against them by sailors and others of his power during the truces, although he has frequently agreed to do so. They ask the King to aid them to receive satisfaction, both for the goods which they have lost and for their losses and expenses, according to the law merchant hitherto in use in England.

The petition mentions the dates of three weeks after Easter 1306, and the quinzaine of the following feast of St Remigius (1 October 1306 or 13 January 1307), but seems to be from before the death of Edward I.
